About HVAC Latah: Heating and Cooling Explained Before We Start
We're the heating and cooling company that shows you what's inside the equipment before asking you to choose. You'll hear what a part is made of, how long it tends to last and why one option suits your home better than another. Then you decide.

How We Like to Work
Most people call us because something stopped working, not because they wanted a lesson in furnaces. Still, the choice in front of you usually comes down to materials. A copper evaporator coil holds up differently than an all-aluminum one. Heat exchangers, compressors and fan motors each come in grades that change how quietly and how long a system runs. We explain those differences in plain words so the decision is yours.
Every job starts with a look at the actual equipment. We check the parts that tend to wear first, like capacitors, igniters, contactors and flame sensors, and show you what we found. If a repair makes sense, we say so. If the unit is near the end of its life, we tell you that too, along with what a replacement would involve.
Nothing gets started until you have the price in writing. When we need a visit to track down what's wrong, what you pay for that diagnosis goes toward the repair once you give the go-ahead. Pricing out a new installation or a replacement costs you nothing. And if your heat gives out on a cold night, you won't see an added charge for emergency or after-hours service.
What You Can Expect From Us
Options laid out side by side
When you're replacing a system, we compare real choices: a single-stage furnace versus a two-stage or modulating one, a standard air conditioner versus a heat pump, or ductless mini-splits for a room that never stays comfortable. You see what each one costs to run and maintain, not just what it costs to install.
Honest repair-or-replace answers
An older system with one failed part is often worth fixing. One with a cracked heat exchanger or a failing compressor may not be. We give you our straight read and leave the call to you.
Care inside and outside your home
We lay down floor covers, keep the work area tidy and haul away old parts. Outside, we set condensers level and clear of the spots where snow piles up, and leave the yard the way we found it.
Help with rebates
If a heat pump is on your list, we help you claim Avista rebates and federal tax credits so the paperwork doesn't hold things up.
Serving Latah and the Surrounding Area
We work on homes in Latah and out through Cheney, Colfax, Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake and Otis Orchards-East Farms. Winters here run long and cold while summers turn hot and dry, so we match equipment to both seasons instead of just one. Along with furnace repair, AC repair and new installations, we handle commercial HVAC and new construction HVAC across the region, plus maintenance plans that keep tune-ups on the calendar.
